Why Did The Catholics Change Their Way Of "Transubstantiation"?

Why did the catholics change their way of "transubstantiation"?

Before we go on with the topic, what is Transubstantiation?

Transubstantiation is the turning ordinary bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ but still remain in the appearance of bread and wine.

After 1969, the start of Second Vatican Council, catechism is not that taught anymore so the Eucharist, unfortunately, is not appreciated by parishioners anymore.

Before 1969, the body of Christ is receive reverently, kneeling and on tongue. Now, we only receive him standing and using our bare and sinful hands. Are we worthy of touching our lord and savior in the form of bread by using our hands? In John 20:17, Christ said not to touch him:

John 20:17

Jesus says to her, "Do not touch Me, for not yet have I ascended to the Father. Now go to My brothers and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God."

We can change our mindset towards the eucharist by believeing that IT IS THE BODY OF CHRIST. Its not a symbol or a representation but the body itself. And also receiving the host by kneeling/standing and on tongue.
